Another is clicking/tapping on coins/money symbols to get your money/resources, which I also don't want to do since it used to be that you assigned a tax collector or forager e.t.c. Lastly, having it take forever to build buildings is highly annoying. I don't want a building to take me 7hrs or have to pay real money to make it go faster, I just want the building to be built almost right away once I have the necessary resources. So with those stipulations in mind, do you have any suggestions? Thanks!Ĭhildren of the Nile is an older game by Tilted Mill, founded by people who made Caesar, Pharaoh, etc. It really is a graphical upgrade of Pharaoh, and it comes close to matching the fun from that game. Still, and despite minor flaws, I can recommend it and it is only $8 on Steam, or $10 if you buy it and it's DLC. There is even a demo, so you can check it out first. They also made Caesar IV, which I can't recommend quite as highly. They tried to make a sequel but didn't quite get it right and it is fairly flawed. Still, it isn't a horrible game and, again, it's $10 on Steam. Oh, and a s a thought, there is always the Tropico series of games as something a bit different. That said, you really only have to buy the latest in the series, or maybe one back if you want to get into it cheap. Each iteration tends to be nearly the same game with graphical tweaks and a few gameplay changes. Julius Caesar is a tragedy by William Shakespeare, written sometime around 1599. Not necessarily bad, as Tropico is hella fun, just something to be aware of. As movie posters and book covers like to say, the play is 'based on a true story': the historical events surrounding the conspiracy against the ancient Roman leader Julius Caesar (c.100-44B.C.) and the civil war that followed his death.
